It’s an extremely creatively designed space and would be easy to potentially expand with new “decks” and such. The Dreadnaught works here for a number of reasons. And hell, it was new for a lot of New Light players or people who only showed up starting at Destiny 2, so it was kind of a win-win. And even then, no, that probably still won’t be Destiny 3.Īs such, if we are doing something Shadowkeep-sized, one of the core components of Shadowkeep is that it brought back the Moon from Destiny 1, expanding it in fairly significant ways, and yet ultimately using it as a design base which allows for at least some amount of work saved when bringing in a “new” area to the game. That may disappoint players, if true, and yet that’s still my hunch and that if we do get some massive new thing, it’s not going to be before fall 2021. Instead, I would guess that we are going to see again, something more along the lines of the size of Shadowkeep, smaller than even Taken King and Forsaken. Not only because Destiny 3 is probably not actually going to be a thing, but I would also not expect anything “Destiny 3 sized” either, regardless of what it’s called.
